Genuine Fractals Print Pro is a Photoshop plug-in that allows you to increase the resolution and size of your images without degrading image quality....... Often up to 600 % !
The program allows you to work with, store and transmit smaller, more-manageable files, yet make huge blow-ups of the images.
Instead of Photoshop's simplistic Bi-cubic algorithm for "adding pixels", Genuine Fractals takes a much more sophisticated approach.
If you do large format printing, or are always "pushing the limits", you ARE going to need this !

Camera Controller

Pine Tree Computing's camera control software allows you to utilize many models of Olympus Digital Cameras to capture high resolution images, and then ftp the image to your hosting site server.
Schedule capture/uploads to occur automatically and add a Date/Time stamp with the optional Webcam "Snap In". The software can also be used to generate time-lapse image captures to your local hard drive.
Also included is a slide show creation tool.
The software remotely controls certain models of Olympus Digital Cameras via their USB port.
A "neat" piece of software that works well & is reasonably priced ! Visit our Webcam at http://www.videointerchange.com/webcam.htm to see it in action !

Panorama - Image Stitching Software

The best we've seen so far ! Not
only will it stitch together images horizontally as in a wide panorama, it will
also stitch them vertically for "seamless" mosaic panoramas. Size and number
of images to be stitched is limited only by your available disk space and the time
you're willing to wait until it processes multiple large files.
Most importantly, your scanner is no longer limited to only what will fit on the platen, and you can effectively and even dramatically increase your camera's pixel density by stitching a sequence of images together. Plus, it also supports PNG file formats ! Their web site offers a full description, including a free downloadable demo you can use to try it first. The price is even more than reasonable for all it does ! Once you try it, you'll be "hooked"

Thumbnail Viewer
![]()
Despite the some nice "free" Thumbnail Viewers now available, this still remains the best viewer - editor - image database software we've ever come across.
Nothing else anywhere's near it's price range even comes close to it's capabilities that are too numerous to list here.
Fully "customizable"; you can catalog and save thousands images as thumbnails for quick retrieval in almost level of detail imaginable.. Build a database of every image stored on your computer or external drives - including almost any type of pertinent information or notes. Then print out a hard copy color thumbnail catalog of what's in each folder.
Each folder is fully indexed, & thus displaying literally thousands of thumbnails takes less than a second. Even saves the volume info, so that removable media that was previously indexed, is saved for near instant recall when again mounted !
Edit the image from within ThumbsPlus's own powerful image editor, or set the preferences to call up an even more powerful application directly from within Thumbsplus, such as Adobe Photoshop ® or whatever your "fancy". Even includes a built in slide show generator !
Being a professional viewer, it's not "Free !"..... but if you have a lot of images and need a lot more than just a simple boilerplate thumbnail viewer, then this is the one to get !
Check out their site, as they have a free trial version to try it out before you buy.

Trying to locate and keep track of our "hard working" Company Cats around
here, was almost an impossible task before acquiring the Cat Locator. The
Cat Locator solves all that, by way of radio transmitting collars that transmit
a "ping" on any of 30 channels and picked up on a portable handheld Radio Direction
Finder which will track up to 30 pets or anything else you want to locate for that
matter....
Voila ! - No more lost cats or hours wasted worrying and trying to locate them... or merely to check to see if they're "sluffing off" from their assigned duties. Plus, it's also Great Fun discovering all their secret hiding places !
This product works as advertised with a solid 1 mile range here in the country with a "clear shot" across open fields. In dense woods, it's still at least 1/2 mile ! Transmitters operate about 1 month on a single "button" battery, whereas the receiver uses a single 9v battery , allowing up to 10 hrs of operation. A nice feature is that the transmitters emit a "double ping" when there are only several days left of battery life !
Just enter any one of the 30 channels and walk in the direction from which the strongest signal is received. Takes a little practice learning how to recognize misleading reflections since the transmitters operate at around 218 MHz, but once you've mastered that, you'll have the little fur-ball located in matter of minutes. Works equally as well for finding them inside the house... (Like when they magically "vaporize" just before their scheduled visit to the Vet).
Working from a car, you could cover perhaps an entire town in a matter of a few hours should they really have wandered far ! They also have collars for dogs or a small clip on transmitter for almost any application.. (like the car keys you're always losing for example). Another popular use is to keep track of Alzheimer's patients. The uses are limited only by your imagination !
If you have small pets, this works as advertised & is well worth it. Considering all the thousands of hours wasted searching for lost cats over the years, with over 9 adopted cats here now , we could no longer live without one !

The Loc8tor ® from Loc8tor Limited in the United Kingdom, is another alternative. This model is available and legal to purchase in the United States !
Tag batteries last on average about 9 months and transmitters operate in the 2.4 GHz band. However, it's published maximum range under ideal conditions is only a scant 600 feet. Real world range in cities or dense woods, is far less. Even under ideal line of sight conditions, that would not be enough range to be useful for the outside wandering patterns of most children, Alzheimer's patients or family pets..... Where we are here in Maine where you can go literally 2 1/2 miles out back thru the woods without ever encountering a house, 600 ft is virtually nothing !
For locating car keys or indoor pets, , this system is much easier to use and requires much less of a learning curve. We purchased one for our indoor and elderly cats as well as for locating car keys and other often misplaced items. For items you wish to locate that will always remain within 300 feet, this would be an ideal solution. The transmitter tags are not waterproof and are not appropriate for outdoor use.
